US-China Music & Art Exchange

2002 Fall China Tour

OUR GOAL

The purpose of this unique program is to provide American and Chinese artists and musicians, both children and adults, an opportunity to display their talents and at the same time develop communication through creative expression. Art and music are universal languages and they are an excellent way to absorb a foreign country's cultural essence.

Brandt Fredriksen
Artistic Director

The 2002 Exchange Prgram Highlights
:

American and Chinese young artists will collaborate in the following performances: Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint Saens, Romanctic France composer; Peter and the Wolf by Segei Prokofiev, 20th century Russian composer. These works will feature narration in both Chinese and English languages created by our artistic team.

These internationally celebrated masterpiece fairy tales have been selected to inspire and entertain young students from both the US and China. They will shareuniversal truth through music and storytelling.

Pianist &
Music educator

We love to teach and see how students interact with music and with each other.
These students need exposure not only to music but also to life other than their own, so that they will grow greater sensibilities to people who are different from themselves.
That is very important during the growing process of an real artist.
