China Search Marketing Tour

The
China Search Marketing Tour is business-focused, providing
participants with cultural, social, economic and political
orientations in China. Various business briefings, receptions,
meetings and banquets will lay the foundation for valuable
business opportunities and unforgettable cultural experiences
for all attendees. The tour will end in at the Search
Engine Strategies Conference and Expo.

Thirteen
Ohio companies and organizations will
accompany Lt. Gov. Bruce
Johnson, who also heads the Ohio Department of Development.
The trip is intended to promote products to Chinese companies,
encourage Chinese firms to invest in and help the state's
firms do business in China.

Greater Seattle and Washington State Trade Mission
HongKong, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Fuzhou
The
purpose of this mission is to provide private-sector delegates
with an opportunity to assess and explore specific business
opportunities and to promote Washington and Greater Seattle
as a world-class business center. Business representatives,
as well as education, port, and government officials from
the Washington and Greater Seattle region will have the
opportunity to establish relationships and facilitate
closer commercial ties with this dynamic economy.

California
State
China Trade Mission
Beijing, Shanghai, HongKong
Governor
Arnold Schwarznagger will lead this delegation. California
is the major gateway for U.S. trade to China, with cotton
and computer-related products leading the way. The state
exported $6.8 billion in goods to China in 2004, double
what it exported in 2000, according to the state Chamber
of Commerce. The governor is traveling to Beijing, Shanghai
and Hong Kongwith at least 50 bodyguards and staff, including
his own hair and makeup artist and a videographer. In
addition, nearly 80 business executives are with him,
staying at four-star hotels and traveling by chartered
jet. Major American companies are paying the bulk of the
expenses through donations to four trade funds run by
the state and by Schwarzenegger allies.
November 11 - November 19
Minnesota State China Trade Mission
Governor
Tim Pawlenty will lead this delegation. With 218 members,
the Minnesotadelegation is the largest U.S. state delegation
ever organized on a mission to China.The delegation will
participate in nearly 100 events while in China, including
high-level business briefings, networking receptions,
tours of Minnesota companies with operations in the country
and meetings with government officials.

China Discovery Tour and Trade Mission
Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai
The
"China Discovery Tour and Trade Mission," sponsored
in large part by FedEx and scheduled for September 16-25,
is expected to lay the groundwork for Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger's trip to China in November. The mission
will offer participants - many of whom have never visited
China before - numerous opportunities to visit a number
of Chinese cultural landmarks, participate in several
business briefings, and meet face-to-face with potential
business partners. The tour and trade mission was organized
by the California World Trade Centers and the State of
California Business, Transportation & Housing Agency
in cooperation with the US Department of Commerce, the
New York-headquartered World Trade Centers Association
(WTCA), and the statewide California Trade Partners consortium.

Gateway to China Trade Mission
Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing
Our
exclusive program is in large part dedicated to advancing
cultural and commercial understanding gained through intensive
networking with the Chinese government and companies.
In addition to providing participating companies with
briefings by U.S. and Chinese government officials and
corporate executives, the Trade Mission will also provide
personal introductions and meetings with Chinese companies
selected for their potential compatibility with each participating
company. The event will serve as a bridge between the
U.S. and the Chinese industries for ongoing relations
and trade.

Springfield Missouri China Trade Mission
Beijing, Zhengzhou, Dalian
A 20-member
delegation representing the Springfield will travel to
the People's Republic of China as part of the Chamber's
inaugural China trade mission. The delegation explored
the business culture of Beijing, Zhengzhou and Dalian
during the week-long trade mission. The group's goals
included building on SMSU's extensive presence in China;
generating contacts between Springfield area business
leaders and Chinese entrepreneurs; and learning about
the incredible level of economic development and modernization
taking place in China

U.S. Microelectronics Trade Mission

The United
States Department of Commerce, International
Trade Administration,
U.S. Commercial Service, Office of Global Trade Programs
is organizing a
microelectronics trade mission to China, March 14-18,
2005.
This trade mission
will take place during the renowned annual Shanghai exhibition Electronica and
Productronica China2005 ñco-located with SEMICON China. Participating firms
will not only have pre-arranged one-on-one meetings scheduled
for them by the
U.S. Commercial Service in Shanghai, but will also have
the opportunity to
make additional business contacts at the exhibition.
A similar microelectronics
mission took place in March 2004.

TRADE MISSIONS TO CHINA

The
purpose of the mission is to assist U.S. companies interested
in the Chinese marketplace in making direct contacts with
potential trading partners and government officials in
Hong Kong and China. In addition to providing participating
companies with briefings by U.S. and Chinese government
officials and corporate executives, the Trade Mission
will also provide personal introductions and meetings
with Chinese companies selected for their potential compatibility
with each participating company. It will also familiarize
participating companies with the Chinese business and
regulatory environment.
March 15 - March 19
U.S. Microelectronics
Shanghai and Suzhou
The U.S. Department of Commerce/International Trade Administration's
(DOC/ITA) Office of Microelectronics, Medical Equipment,
and Instrumentation (OMMI) trade mission will center around
the widely acclaimed Shanghai exhibition electronicChina
2004 in conjunction with SEMICON China. Centering the
mission around a major trade fair will allow participating
firms to have pre-arranged individual meetings scheduled
for them by the Commercial Service (CS) Post in Shanghai,
as well as an opportunity to make additional business
contacts at the exhibition. The second mission stop will
be Suzhou, which is a high-technology city about a one
hour bus ride from Shanghai.

Medical Device Trade Mission
Beijing and Chengdu
Assistant Secretary of Commerce Linda M. Conlin will lead
this mission that will include representatives of U.S.
medical and dental equipment and supply firms interested
in entering or expanding existing business in the Chinese
market. Following the mission, participating firms may
further leverage their presence in China by electing optional
visits to Shanghai, Guangzhou, or Hong Kong for additional
business meetings under the U.S. Commercial Service's
Gold Key Service. The mission is also open to representatives
of U.S. medical device and dental equipment trade associations.

Illinois Trade Mission
Shanghai, Chengdu, and Beijing
Illinois Trade Office of the Illinois Department of Commerce
& Economic Opportunity (DCEO) will lead a senior-level
business development mission. The focus of the mission
is to help Illinois firms explore business opportunities
resulting from China's accession to the World Trade Organization
(WTO), 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and other related economic
development. The delegation will include approximately
8 to 10 Illinois-based small, medium and large firms representing
the following key growth sectors: architecture design,
environmental technology, engineering services and construction
materials and other sectors.

Manufacturers Agents National Association (MANA)
Shanghai and Guangzhou
This trade mission will visit with manufacturers in the
Shanghai and Guangzhou areas who will match up with the
agency profiles of the registrants, and produce seminars
for the Chinese on how to work effectively with professional
outsourced sales agencies. MANA associate members looking
for Chinese partners will be welcome as will agents from
our sister, industry-specific associations. IUCAB agencies
from Western Europe are also planning to attend, and the
networking opportunities with fellow reps will be incredible!

Trade Delegation

"Our
mission is to accelerate international relationships and
utilize marketing as a means to increase sales abroad
for our agricultural industries," Florida Agriculture
Commissioner Charles H. Bronson said. The Florida trade
delegation will travel to China on May 4 primarily to
explore opportunities for exporting Florida wood products.
Discussions will be held in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai,
Guangzhou, and Dongguan, which is a major distribution
center with 2,000 furniture manufacturers, 160 dealers
and 40 registered importers of timber.
